Sacred

You ask me what is sacred
and so i say to you
that the sacred breath is luminous
it has no shape
no contour
nothing to hold onto
or to capture

You ask me what is sacred
and i say to you
that when a leaf falls from the autumal tree
and melts into the earth
that this is sacred
that when a child smiles into your eyes
that this is sacred

You ask me what is sacred
and i say to you
that sacred is the breath between words
the silence of dawn
the alchemy of love
as it wraps us all in its wonder

you ask me what is sacred
and i say to you
go deeply inside your own heart
and know that there is more sacredness there
than can be found in the whole of the universe

we are the the ever moving flow of sacredness
just open your heart
and you will know
